Mandy Gunn
Mandy Gunn works across a range of media including monoprints, collage, painting, sculpture, assembage and installation often using recycled materials.
Mandy has studied extensively and holds a Masters in Fine Art (Research) from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), Graduate Diploma in Painting, also from the VCA and a B.A. Fine Art from Monash University in Painting and Tapestry, Over the past few decades, Mandy has exhibited widely throughout Australia in commercial galleries, regional galleries and other public art spaces. Mandy has been included in curated exhibitions, art prize showings as well as group and solo exhibitions. Her work is held in numerous public and private collections including the Pratt Foundation; the Latrobe, Wangaratta, Tamworth and Mornington Peninsula Regional Galleries; the State Library of Queensland; Bundanon Trust; and National Australia Bank amongst many others. Mandy's art works have been selected for a number of National art prizes, and her awards include: First prize Gippsland’s Creative Waste, 2012; Noosa Travelling Scholarship People’s Choice Award, 2011, First and Acquisitive Prize, Contemporary Textiles Wangaratta Exhibitions Gallery 2009. |
