Known for her expressive use of paint, colour and movement, the eminent artist Charles Blackman described Gabrielle Jone’s work as “…full of shining light, radiant… [she] lets the inner things – her soul – come into her paintings [and] evokes feelings from the viewer”.A graduate of the National Art School in Sydney, Gabrielle has held 13 solo exhibitions across Australia and participated in numerous art prizes and curated exhibitions in Australia, New York and Korea.
A graduate of Monash University, Steve Warburton has been exhibiting widely since the late 1980's. His paintings, both landscapes and his surreal figurative works are included in many collections Australia-wide and internationally.
Our first Press mention comes courtesy of Artist Deb Mostert and her interview with MoreGoldCoast. 2015 has been a particularly busy year for Deb. Currently undertaking her first public sculpture commission, just completed a public art project for the Mater Hospital, Artist in Residence at a local primary school and a sell out solo exhibition.
Esteemed contemporary artist Abbey McCulloch says of Deb’s works “I love the affection in Deb Mostert’s paintings, she gives a variety of objects the sort of attention that makes us wish we could just slow down, stop more, pay heed.”
