Melbourne based artist Wayne Viney studied at Swinburne College before becoming a full time artist in the mid 1980s.
A highly regarded printmaker who is best known for his romantic and hauntingly evocative monotype prints. Wayne's practice also extends to painting.
Wayne has held in excess of 18 solo exhibitions, including in 2013-14 a retrospective exhibition of his monotypes Singular Impressions, illustrated with a full colour catalogue, which toured various regional galleries in Victoria.
Wayne's works have been included in a great many significant art prizes and acquired for many notable collections including the National Gallery of Australia, Artbank, Parliament House, Canberra , and Collection of Dame Elisabeth Murdoch, amongst others.
